چکیده

Building on crucial insights into the determining factors of the visual integrity of an image and the property of deep convolutional neural network (CNN), we have developed the Deep Feature Consistent Deep Image Transformation (DFC-DIT) framework which unifies challenging one-to-many mapping image processing problems such as image downscaling, decolorization (colour to grayscale conversion) and high dynamic range (HDR) image tone mapping. DFC-DIT uses one CNN as a non-linear mapper to transform an input image to an output image following the deep feature consistency principle which is enforced through another pretrained and fixed deep CNN. Unlike applications in related literature, none of these problems has a known ground truth or target for a supervised learning system. For each problem, we reason about a suitable learning objective function and develop an effective solution under the DFC-DIT framework. This is the first work that uses deep learning to solve and unify these three common image processing tasks. We present experimental results to demonstrate the effectiveness of the DFC-DIT technique and its state of the art performances.

Deep Chain HDRI: Reconstructing a High Dynamic Range Image from a Single Low Dynamic Range Image

In this paper, we propose a novel deep neural network model that reconstructs a high dynamic range (HDR) image from a single low dynamic range (LDR) image. The proposed model is based on a convolutional neural network composed of dilated convolutional layers, and infers LDR images with various exposures and illumination from a single LDR image of the same scene. Then, the final HDR image can be...

Deep Neural Networks for HDR imaging

We propose novel methods of solving two tasks using Convolutional Neural Networks, firstly the task of generating HDR map of a static scene using differently exposed LDR images of the scene captured using conventional cameras and secondly the task of finding an optimal tone mapping operator that would give a better score on the TMQI metric compared to the existing methods. We quantitatively sho...

Robust Watermarking Framework for High Dynamic Range Images Against Tone-Mapping Attacks

As digital cameras become more and more popular recently, it is very easy for us to take many digital photos. Unfortunately, they are rarely true measurements of relative radiance in the scene due to the limited dynamic range in the image acquisition devices. High dynamic range (HDR) images emphasis in image processing fields because they can accommodate a greater dynamic range of luminance bet...

Pseudo Hdr Video Using Inverse Tone Mapping

In the Pseudo-Multiple-Exposure-Based Tone Fusion with Local Region Adjustment [1], it introduces a framework for inverse tone mapping which uses only one Low Dynamic Range (LDR) image to evaluate High Dynamic Range (HDR) image. First, map LDR image to HDR images using S curve. By changing the parameters of S curve, we can get different EV scenes. Then, segment the image into four different lum...

Watermarking for HDR Image Robust to Tone Mapping

High Dynamic Range (HDR) images have been widely applied in daily applications. However, HDR image is special format, which need to pre-process known as tone mapping operators for display. Since the visual quality of HDR images are very sensitive to luminance value variations, conventional watermarking methods for low dynamic range (LDR) images are not suitable and may even cause catastrophic v...
